Human Resources (HR) – Administration Assistant
Part-Time (3 days per week)
An international trading house is seeking an HR Administrator to work three days per week at their London EC2 office. Standard hours are 08:30 to 16:30 with a one-hour lunch break. After the probation period and completion of training, hybrid working is available with two days working from home, if preferred.
The HR Administration Assistant will support the Human Resources Manager and assist in the delivery of HR functions and operational processes for staff and business objectives. This includes recruitment, onboarding, event organisation, and daily HR administrative tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the initial point of contact for HR queries in person, by phone, or email.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager.
- Assist with recruitment activities including drafting job descriptions, communicating with agencies, and managing job advertisements.
- Support new starter onboarding, including preparing contracts, induction, and workstation setup.
- Administer and maintain records of employee benefits such as holiday entitlement.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records.
- Organise performance reviews, feedback sessions, and milestone tracking.
- Prepare HR reports and undertake ad-hoc project-related tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality while remaining accessible for support.
- Perform general administration support and ad hoc duties.
- Assist with updating personnel records, including changes to employee details.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Previous experience (3–5 years) in administration duties (required).
- An interest in Human Resources.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, for managing expectations.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to additional responsibilities.
- Comfortable with meeting deadlines.
