EC&I Engineer

Overview

Our client whom are at the forefront of applying innovation and technology to waste treatment, currently seek an experienced EC&I Engineer.

The Company have developed a unique proprietary pyrolysis solution for flexible plastic packaging from both post-manufacture and post-consumer waste streams. This pioneering technology makes previously unrecyclable plastics valuable, enabling economically profitable recycling globally. This process is currently the only one in the world capable of recycling plastic aluminium laminates by splitting them into aluminium with a low-carbon footprint and high-value oil.

The Role

The EC & I Engineer will work in conjunction with the Senior Management and Technical team to complete the development and design of the proprietary pyrolysis process and associated systems in readiness for commissioning in 2022.

The role will be responsible for developing the electrical design and software coding of the pyrolysis plant. The role will be expected to preside over and lead on matters relating to the Health and Safety arrangements for the design and control systems, while providing coaching and development for operational team members in functional system design, instrumentation, and electrical components.

Core Responsibilities

  • Producing electrical drawings
  • Development of Functional Design Specification
  • Specifying Instrumentation
  • Development of software on Allen Bradley platform (code)
  • Integration of OEM packages
  • Commissioning of New Plant, Fault Diagnostics and Resolution
  • Operational Support
  • FAT Sign Off
  • Specification and procurement of electrical components
  • Proactively involved process safety meetings

Specific Responsibilities

  • Leading on Electrical Design and specification of new plant; Instruments, Installation,
  • Development and commissioning of software (Coding),
  • Oversee the development of the asset FDS (Functional Design specification);
  • Safety control systems,
  • Development of the maintenance program,
  • Maintain the documentation related to EC&I components and processes,
  • Preside over the design of protocols for remote maintenance access;
  • Process monitoring,
  • Diagnostics and fault resolution,
  • Management of all records relating to EC&I ,
  • All candidates will be required to have a demonstrable working knowledge of ATEX regulations.

Experience:

EC&I Engineering: 3 years (required)

Advanced Process Control: 3 years (preferred)

Electrical drawing software: 3 years (required)

Coding software on Allen Bradley platform: 3 years (required)

Holders of a COMPEX EX12 accreditation will be at a distinct advantage

Experience in the oil and gas industries will be an advantage

 

License/Certification:

17th Edition Wiring Regulations (required)
